This is a Arena Tour Rider template, designed for mid-to-large arena tours (5,000–30,000 cap) traveling with multiple buses, trucks, and departments. It's written to help artists, tour managers, and production teams communicate clearly with venues and promoters without getting bogged down in legal terms

⚠️ This rider is intended as a rough guide and starting point. Every tour has unique needs. Please customize all elements to fit your specific production, personnel, and markets. We strongly recommend consulting with experienced tour professionals, legal counsel, and production vendors when finalizing your touring documents.
1. Key Contacts
At least 3 weeks before the show, the promoter should connect with the tour’s Production Manager to go over logistics. Here are the main contacts:

2. Artist Billing & Publicity
Artist must receive top headline billing on all ads, flyers, and social media.
No co-promoters or sponsor logos without written approval.
Press and radio requests must go through Artist Management.
3. Cancellation & Weather
If Artist cancels, they will notify the promoter at least 30 days in advance.
If weather cancels the show, promoter still pays the full fee.
4. Production Authority
Artist has final say on all production elements.
Tour crew will handle all lighting cues, house lights, sound, and video.
No other acts may be added to the bill without approval.
5. Stage, Rigging & Gear
Tour carries its own custom stage with lifts and flying elements.
Stage must be at least 64' wide x 48' deep x 6' high.
Rigging diagrams and load info must be advanced.
6. Power
Venue must supply:
(2) 400amp 3-phase for lights/video
(1) 200amp 3-phase for audio (stage left)
(1) 200amp 3-phase for automation/backline
Power must be within 100' of the stage and tied in by a licensed electrician.
7. FOH / Mix Position
Needs to be on center, not under balcony, 12' x 24' minimum
Cable runs must be protected and taped before doors open
8. Security
Venue must provide professional security staff from load-in to load-out. Key positions include:
Dressing room and backstage doors
Stage barricade (18 guards minimum)
FOH/Mix position (2 guards)
Bus/truck parking overnight
Only passes issued by the Artist will be honored for backstage access.
9. Medical
EMTs must be onsite beginning at load-in
Clear access needed to all backstage and audience areas
10. Dressing Rooms & Production Spaces
Venue must provide:
4 Dressing Rooms (Artist, Band, Support, Crew)
1 Production Office with phone line + wired internet
1 Quiet Room
1 Wellness/Massage Room
All rooms must be clean, private, climate-controlled, and close to the stage. Keys must be turned over to the Production Manager upon arrival.
11. Aftershow Meals
Venue must provide boxed hot meals (no turkey) for the bus and truck drivers. These should be labeled and delivered to the Production Office at the start of load-out.
12. Catering
Venue or promoter must supply catering for the entire day:
Breakfast (7–9am)
Lunch (12–3pm)
Dinner (5:30–:00pm)
Coffee and snacks refilled hourly
Meals must include vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. No pork or turkey.
13. Pyro / Lasers / Effects
A lockable room must be provided for pyro storage with authorized access only.
Venue must arrange fire marshal walkthrough.
Only the Artist’s pyro crew may handle special effects gear.
14. Merch Sales
Artist has exclusive rights to sell merch in the venue.
The deal must be equal to or better than other major acts who have played the venue ("Most Favored Nation").
15. Insurance
Promoter must provide:
$5M general liability
Worker’s comp for crew
Equipment insurance if venue handles any Artist gear
Certificates must name Artist and Artist’s agent as additional insured.
Need to Know:
If any of these requirements cannot be met, they must be cleared in writing with the Production Manager. Otherwise, failure to fulfill this rider may result in show cancellation with the full fee still owed.
